Our Story
Taketo Hayashi
Founder & CEO
In 2020, Taketo founded SaviorBack in his garage with the vision of breaking down the stereotypical “one type fits all” approach when selecting the right chair. He aims to educate individuals throughout the process of choosing a chair, empowering them to make an informed decision on their ideal seating solution.
“I understand first hand what it’s like to sit on a crappy chair while working — It’s a pretty miserable feeling. We’re here to guide you along the way with researching, selecting, taking home a chair, and anything in-between to make it as simple for you as possible.”
Taketo is currently a student at Claremont McKenna College majoring in Data Science and Economics.
Mitchell
Head of Sales & Chair Enthusiast
I had the pleasure of meeting Taketo about a year ago in the same storage facility where he runs SaviorBack and I direct a nonprofit organization for supplying the homeless with essential clothing and accessories.
"One day, I found out he was looking for someone to partner with, and his values rooted in genuinely helping people aligned with mine, so I thought I would give it a try. I can honestly say after almost a year of working with Taketo, I take a lot of pride in how we guide individuals from beginning to end all while educating them on the different models of chairs."
Clients are often taken back when they come prepared to spend $1,000+ on a chair and we suggest something that is less than half the cost because it's simply the better option. I find myself always feeling great when a customer is excited to take home a chair from us with plenty of confidence and satisfaction, knowing that they had a wonderful and informative experience in the process.
Mitchell is a retired contractor and has been the director of Clothingthehomeless.org for 6 years. He is also the author of a recently published memoir called "Little Boy, I Know Your Name: A Second-Generation Memoir from Inherited Holocaust" https://mitchellraff.com/
